Lift Every Voice
Our letter writing program, Lift Every Voice, is dedicated to spreading positivity and inspiration to people of color. People of color experience challenges and often lack the support they need to consistently overcome challenges. This makes people feel isolated, alone and even worthless. We are here to let people of color know they are valuable, they matter and they are not alone. We want to empower people with words of encouragement, in hopes that it will give them the strength to carry on.
How it Works
We partner with organizations fighting for equity and equality in marginalized communities to carefully craft each letter with personalized messages of support, inspiration, and motivation. Volunteers and supporters submit letters online and we send them out via email to our people. We make sure to use language that is culturally sensitive and relevant to the experiences of people of color. We create a connection and fostering a sense of community.
